1. About us

This website is operated by Grand Gardens Restoration Group, a charitable body registered in Ireland with the Charities Regulatory Authority under registered charity number 20141004, whose registered address is Ardamullivan, Shanaglish, Co. Galway, H91 CA30, Ireland. References to "we", "us" and "our" are to that organisation.

2. Acceptance of terms

By accessing, browsing or otherwise using this website you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the site. We may amend these terms at any time by publishing a revised version on this page.

3. Acceptable use

• You may use this site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
• You must not use the site in any way that breaches any applicable Irish or EU law, is fraudulent, or has a fraudulent purpose or effect.
• You must not submit false, misleading or third-party personal information through any form on this site, or use our forms to transmit unsolicited commercial material.
• You must not knowingly introduce viruses or other malicious material, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its servers, or subject the site to any attack intended to disrupt its availability.

4. Accuracy of information

Content on this site is provided for general information about our charitable work. While we take care to keep project descriptions, statistics and policies current and accurate, we give no warranty that the content is complete, up to date or free from error, and it does not constitute professional horticultural, ecological, conservation, legal or financial advice.

5. Donations

Donations made to us are voluntary gifts applied to our charitable purposes at the discretion of the trustees, in accordance with our constitution. Restricted donations made for a named project will be applied to that project; where a project is completed or becomes impracticable, remaining restricted funds will be applied to the most closely related charitable purpose and this will be disclosed in our annual report. Donations are generally non-refundable, but where a donation has been made in error we will consider a written refund request made within 30 days. Recurring donations may be cancelled at any time through your bank or by contacting us.

6. Volunteering and site visits

Participation in field days, workshops and site visits is subject to our Safeguarding & Volunteer Policy, our health and safety briefings, and any instruction given by a site coordinator. Several of our restoration sites are active construction and conservation environments on private land; access without prior arrangement is not permitted.

7. Intellectual property

All text, photographs, drawings, survey material, logos and design elements on this site are owned by us or used under licence and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view, download and print extracts for your own personal, non-commercial use or for educational use within a school, provided our authorship is acknowledged. Any other reproduction, republication or commercial use requires our prior written permission.

8. Third-party links and embedded content

Where this site links to or embeds third-party content, including mapping services, those links are provided for information only. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content, policies or availability of third-party sites.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Irish law. Subject to that, we exclude all implied conditions and warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law and shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website.

Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by the laws of Ireland. The courts of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them.
